Halloween is almost here, and if your house is anything like mine, the excitement is already running high. A quiet coloring activity is one of my favorite ways to help my daughter settle down, so I made four free printable Halloween coloring pages to share with you.

What’s in the Free Halloween Coloring Pages

Each page has bold outlines and big open spaces that are easy for small hands to color. You will find a friendly monster with a candy pail, two silly bats with a fanged candy bucket, a pair of smiling ghosts with a bag of treats, and a waving skeleton with a pumpkin bucket. They are cute rather than scary, so they work well for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and early elementary kids.

Why Coloring Is Worth the Time

Coloring is simple fun, but it is also real practice for the fine motor skills and pencil grip kids need for writing. It makes a calm, screen-free Halloween activity for home, the classroom, or a party, and it is a great way to get little ones talking about their favorite costumes and candy.

Click HERE and scroll down to the “More Free Printables” and find the Halloween Coloring post to download the PDF, then print the pages on regular printer paper. Cardstock works nicely if you would like to hang the finished pages up as Halloween decorations.

If your little one enjoys these, you will find more printable activity packs for ages 3 to 6 in my Etsy shop, along with sight words and early reading books on Amazon.
