New in the Shop: First Grade Sight Words Activity Pack

I have been working on this one for a while, and it is finally up.

The First Grade Sight Words Activity Pack covers all 41 Dolch first grade sight words, with three different activities per word — a trace and cut-and-paste page, a word maze, and a “Who Said It” speech bubble page where your child finds the word used in a real sentence.

The thing I am most proud of: there is no independent writing anywhere in this pack. Every activity is finger tracing, cutting, pasting, or circling. I built it that way on purpose, because I kept watching children who clearly knew their words get tripped up the moment they had to put a pencil to paper. Take the pencil out, and the same child shows you exactly what they know.

It is 142 pages, instant download, and prints on standard US Letter paper. The trace and maze pages are black and white to save on ink. The speech bubble pages have colour characters because, honestly, children are more interested in reading a speech bubble when there is a face attached to it.

If you have a first grader working on sight words, or a child who is ready to read but not quite ready to write, you can find it here: First Grade Sight Words Activity Pack, along with the rest of my printable activity packs for ages 3 to 6 in my Etsy shop.
